Aquaseal® 2218 is a water based solution of a fully hydrolysed PVOH. Used for paper/re-moistenable adhesives, as raw material for sizes and textile finishes, as binder resin in surface finishing of paper, for regulating processing characteristics of water based coatings. Gas barrier.

Aquaseal® X 2170 is a fully formulated (ready to use) high barrier PVdC coating designed primarily for application on plastic films but also suitable for application on paper in combination with a suitable base coat.

Aquaseal® X 2276 is a fully formulated (ready to use) printable PVdC coating offering intermediate moisture and gas barrier properties.  Primarily designed to be applied on plastic films in combination with primer Aquatack 1411 this product can also be used for paper coatings in combination with a suitable base coat.

Aquaseal® X 2281 is a novel high solids barrier coating based on a vinyl alcohol resin in water. Despite its high degree of hydrolysis, it has been possible to achieve a 20% solid content whilst maintaining the viscosity at 500mPas allowing higher coating weights to be achieved with existing equipment. Designed as a product for coatings on paper or film, for example as a printable oxygen barrier. The barrier performance remains humidity sensitive above about 23°C/65% humidity but this can be improved with cross-linking.
