In the manufacturing of window envelopes, three types of adhesive are used:
- an adhesive for gluing of the side seams or the bottom flap (depending on the construction of the envelope);
- an adhesive for the gluing of the window film to the paper;
- an adhesives applied to the upper-flap so that the envelope can be sealed after being filled.
This third type of adhesive can be a remoistening adhesive, a waterbased or hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesive or a latex based contact adhesive.
