In the consumer retail market most food is already pre-packed, but fresh food can still be ordered from the counter. A laminate made of paper and a polyethylene film is an ideal solution for wrapping cold meats, cheeses and poultry. This laminate, also known as duplex, is an ideal material to transport and store fresh products comfortably and hygienically.
Paramelt offers a special range of adhesives perfectly designed for manufacturing fresh pack material. In the market a wide range of paper and polyethylene qualities are used, but our pressure sensitive adhesives are known to create a permanent bond. Moreover, our PLASTOFLEX® range can cope with the variation in tension between the paper and PE that can occur after the laminating process.
These products are filtered to a very fine mesh and because of the thermal stability no burning spots are formed which could create nozzle blocking. All our PLASTOFLEX® fresh pack adhesives do conform to the requirements of the U.S. Federal Food Additives Regulation 21CFR.175.105 "Adhesives".
