Dispersion

Waxes have a long history in packaging applications. Paramelt offers a wide range of laminating, impregnating, coating and gloss waxes, each developed to increase the performance or possibilities of the substrate.

In order to obtain certain specific properties it can be necessary to apply only a small amount of wax. In these cases, aqueous dispersions of the wax offer the possibility to achieve these goals.

The following waxes have been formulated into aqueous dispersions:

paraffin
microcrystaline
carnauba
oxidised LDPE
oxidised HDPE
oxidised Fischer Tropsch
montan

These products are used as coatings or additives for a wide variety of properties like:

slip
blocking
scratch resistance
moisture vapor transmission rate.
