Modelling wax is used by artists to mould original shapes. These shapes may either be intended to be wax designs as such or are used as the basis for the later manufacture of artistic metal castings from the original wax models by the ´lost wax´ process. Modelling wax is a hydrocarbon mixture which can be easily shaped by hand pressure.
Our modelling waxes range from flexible to hard and are provided in brown and natural colours. The ash content of the wax is very low in order to be appropriate for use in the ´lost wax´ process.
