gloss wax Paraflex ® CW

Gloss waxes are part of the group of coating waxes and are principally coated on paper to give the following properties:

good release against the packed product
deadfold (ability to maintain fold or twist)
very high gloss;
low moisture vapour transmission rate;
excellent resistance to machine abrasion (scuff);
anti blocking.

Paramelt has a wide range of different gloss waxes available and specific products are selected based on types of paper used, machine viscosity requirements and the required balance between gloss and scuff resistance of the coating.

The main applications for gloss waxes are:

twist, fold, bunch and sachet wrappers for sweets and toffees;
meat and cheese wrappers;
flower wrappers;
technical wrapping papers;
decorative papers.
