Cartokote hotmelts are applied as gloss coatings on corrugated carton or solid cardboard, to make it water repellent and can also act as a heat sealable coating.

Cartokote is applied to lighter types of carton to provide a moisture vapour barrier.

Cardboard boxes coated with CARTOKOTE are used for packaging:

fish;
poultry;
vegetables and fruit.

In addition Cartokote coatings prevent sticky contents from adhering to the carton, and protect easily damaged finishes on articles like fridges, cookers, bicycles, etc.

Depending on the grades Cartokote products can be coated by a pattern coating or by a curtain coating process.
