Paramelt is Europe´s largest manufacturer of specialty waxes and a fast growing producer of industrial adhesives. This position has been reached by successful integration of a series of international acquisitions since the mid 1990s. Paramelt originates from the first wax factory in The Netherlands which was founded in 1898. It is a highly efficient company with a wealth of experience and expertise.
In recent years Paramelt has been transformed from a manufacturer of primarily specialty wax blends for use in e.g. cheese coatings, flexible packaging, cosmetics, and tires into a more diversified company that is also active in the field of adhesives and aqueous dispersions. Paramelt serves companies in a wide range of industries including food, paper and board converting, cosmetics and chemicals. Paramelt products are found in everything from skin creams to chewing gum.

Spanning the globe
Paramelt markets its products worldwide. Its head office is located in Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands and European sales offices in Germany, France, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark and Slovakia. In the Asian Pacific region Paramelt has offices in Singapore and China. Further export sales is managed from the head office. Paramelt exports its products to more than 80 countries via a network of specialised agents and distributors. With a workforce of 280, the company has a turnover of EUR 135 million.
Production Facilities
The Paramelt production facilities are located in Heerhugowaard and Veendam (the Netherlands) and Suzhou (China). A route description or itinerary can be found in contact information. Where possible, the production processes are highly automated and use state of the art equipment Paramelt aims to be a benchmark in the industry through continuous investment in existing and new production techniques. Our goal is to be a reliable and flexible partner for our customers while managing the complexity of producing a broad variety of products in these facilities.
Quality
Paramelt waxes are known in the industry for their high and consistent quality. This is based on systematic raw material and process control. During and after production all products are subjected to multiple quality checks to ensure that they meet the highest industrial standards. But quality starts with a well formulated product. Our shareholders
The shareholders of Paramelt are Euro Schümann Wax GmbH and Ter Hell & Co. Both shareholders are based in Hamburg Germany.
Ter Hell & Co is major supplier of chemical raw materials as polymers, synthetic and natural resins, waxes and pigments and specialty chemicals for a wide range of industries.
Euro Schümann Wax GmbH is a private equity holding with a long history in waxes.
