Area Sales Manager Scandinavia

Profile function

As Area Sales Manager Scandinavia you will be responsible for our sales activities in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

You will be trained to become an expert in our products and their features. This technical expertise is essential to be a good business partner for our customers.

You will learn about the changing demands on the products and you consult with colleagues in our production locations in Heerhugowaard (industrial waxes and hotmelt adhesives) and Veendam (waterbased adhesives, coatings and construction adhesives).

Personal contact with clients is extremely important and that is why you spend most of your time maintaining relationships with direct customers as well as with agents and distributors. Developing business with new customers is also a part of the role. You are responsible for key accounts in various industrial sectors (f.i. hotmelt, labelling and casting).

You will report to the Sales & Marketing Director of the Paramelt Group.


Profile candidate

For this position we are looking for someone with at a commercial/technical education on higher vocation level. You have a pragmatic and flexible attitude and you are both customer-oriented and result-oriented.

You have a high level of autonomy in order to coordinate several sales projects. Furthermore you have a hands-on mentality and good problem solving skills for handling daily order-related customer issues.

You are a self-starter, independent and autonomous but you are also an excellent team-player. You have knowledge of or willing to learn a lot about the wax- and adhesive industry.

You have 3-5 years of experience in a similar function in the b-to-b market, preferably in the industrial sector. Based on this experience, you have developed a strong personality, with good social and communication skills. You are empathic but also strong when this is needed.

We offer you an exciting and challenging position with a lot of freedom, but in close cooperation with colleagues from the departments of Customer Service, Logistics, Planning, Research & Development and Quality Control to maintain a high level of service and quality to the customer. Furthermore you work together with the Marketing Manager in setting up mailings, publications and exhibitions.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.

The position is preferably located in the middle of south of Sweden.
