We are now looking to strengthen our head office based regulatory team in The Netherlands to address these critical requirements.

Position profile
Due to the diverse nature of current and potential applications for our products, the position of Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer within Paramelt presents a varied and challenging role, critical to maintaining our ongoing license to operate.

Within the role, key responsibilities relate to ensuring compliance with required national and international laws and maintaining an ongoing awareness of evolving legislation.

In particular, providing regulatory support in critical market segments, such as:

  • Food contact packaging regulations: national and international legislation such as EU 10/2011, 1935/2004 and related regulations / directives, BfR, Warenwet and US FDA etc.
  • Food & Feed regulations: EFSA, JECFA, FDA etc.
  • Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, Pharmacopoeia (USP, Ph. Eur.)
  • Requirements for the production of Kosher & Halal certified products
  • National and international chemical regulations with responsibility for the support of global registration projects (for example EU-, UK- & TK-REACH)
  • Focus on chemical substance identification and ongoing awareness of topics such as SVHC, NIAS, product labelling, micro-plastics, nano-materials etc.

Cooperation with key external partners such as:

  • customers and suppliers
  • industry associations
  • regulatory authorities
  • test laboratories
  • researchers

The Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer monitors the company’s production activities and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standard operating procedures.

The Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer will support the company working group on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
In this position you report to the Regulatory Affairs & QA Manager.

Candidate profile
For this challenging position, we are looking for a strong candidate with at least 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs and an extensive knowledge of legislative framework in Europe for both chemical and application related regulations.

You are preferably educated to Bachelor degree level in science related subject, such as chemistry, life sciences or related or have demonstrable experience operating at this level.

To fulfil this complex role, you will possess the following attributes:

  • Strong communication skills to facilitate complex regulatory discussions inhouse as well as with subject-matter experts and external partners.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, Dutch language skills are an advantage
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough planning and organising abilities.
