Position Summary
The inventory control specialist performs a variety of activities to support the Planning & Logistics team in ensuring excellent inventory control for the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains detailed and accurate inventory levels while flagging and investigating issues as they arise
- Coordinates and performs daily cycle counting activities
- On-time spot-checking of Finished Goods, Raw Materials and Packaging with assistance of material handlers and pre-weigh operators
- Supports with allocation of raw materials and closing of production orders into Oracle
- Liaises with Warehouse Supervisor concerning issues that are encountered while preparing raw materials for production orders or finished goods for shipment to customers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience
High school graduate required, preferably with a college degree. Experience in order fulfillment and logistics processes required and office management experience preferred.
Other Qualifications
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Strong Math and English skills
- Strong inventory management experience
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies
- Ability to multi-task and manage/prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Proficient in Oracle software or other (ERP) systems
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
