Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees, coordinates and performs warehouse daily activities alongside the warehouse team. This includes receiving and storing of goods, shipping of finished goods and raw materials, inventory management, and raw material preparation for production batches. This position also assists the Planning & Logistics Manager with special projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversees and facilitates receiving of all incoming shipments and shipping of all outgoing shipments
- Supervises the team of Warehouse Operations Associates and coordinates with relevant individuals to ensure proper administration of shipping and receiving activities
- Provides work assignments to ensure optimal productivity and teamwork objectives are met
- Coordinates with the Inventory Control Specialist to prevent inventory discrepancies by performing spot checks, cycle counts and other physical inventory related activities
- Approves raw materials for all work orders before they are released to production
- Supports the Planning & Logistics Manager in Oracle allocation of raw materials
- Ensures FIFO compliance with all raw materials and finished goods
- Holds housekeeping as a high priority and is responsible for maintaining neat and tidy warehouses
- Supports the Planning & Logistics Manager with the creation and amendment of work instructions
- Facilitates employee training and development to ensure employees perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Assures company compliance with all established government regulations, corporate policies, and company procedures pertaining to warehouse safety and environmental regulations
- Executes all administrative responsibilities pertaining to the management of employee performance including but not limited to; annual performance appraisals, attendance / time-keeping, PTO, and disciplinary actions
- Tracks warehouse KPI’s to align with company goals and objectives
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience
College degree with 2+ years of leadership experience, or 5-10 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.

- Personal integrity to conduct themselves and their job responsibilities in an ethical and non-discriminatory manner
- Inventory management skills and strong experience with FIFO
- Determination and assertiveness to accomplish goals and objectives
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Computer skills, including the use of Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Able to perform physical aspects of warehouse duties such as lifting 50 lbs, bending, climbing, or crawling
- Leadership and team building skills, able to direct and motivate others in a diversified organization to accomplish company objectives
- Problem solving and reasoning ability: can mentally process and comprehend complex issues involving multiple variables
- Flexibility to work various schedules as needed to keep up with customer demands
- Ability to safely operate a powered industrial truck
